Dear Ruth, It was a treat to hear you and Heather sing together again at the end of April(09) out in the San Juan Islands and in Anacortes. All of your fans here in the North end of Puget Sound can hardly wait to hear you all together again. You all just sparkled when you played in Mt. Vernon last year. I have never heard the sound in Lincoln theatre come across that good. Interestingly I got an E-mail from the director of the San Juan Community theatre stating that they were sorry about the sound the night that you played there with Heather and Aoife offering to refund the tickets because of the snafu with the board. I wrote him back and told him to keep the money and wondered out loud about the Jennys playing there? Whoever was on the board last April(08) in Mt Vernon could easily dial in the San Juan Community Theatre. Was that Grant? Anyway it is a beautiful venue, with a great town to go with it. The whole flavor of the islands is very special. It struck me as a Jennys kind of place. I gave Merrit Olsen (dir SJCT) Jamie Weber's e-mail address and included a very short history of this version of the Wailin Jennys. I wrote to Jamie and asked him if he thought that it was possible? Sounds like the schedule might be too tight for next Spring. I hope that you will keep it in mind for the future. For his own part Merrit Olsen seemed to be very interested in having you all play there. I think that it would be a good fit. Love your songs, your versatility with instruments is amazing. Hi: Anticipating your upcoming and most recent recording endeavor. I do hope you keep us posted of when it will be available. As usual they always leave one pleasantly surprised and enthused, I am sure this new one will be no different! .So iam wondering who may show up to play on the different tracks, and the wonderful harmony with excellent musicianship, the producing and what songs will be included on this new album. The Jennys and Your solo and collaboration recordings and also with Friends and Family have always left me felling better off than before I began listening. Its the true honest energy of the music for one, also the professional aspect of the projects themselves as well. All this hard work gives us, the fans true great music.
